Job Posting for The Journal of Urology® Editor

The American Urological Association (AUA) is now accepting applications for the next Editor of The Journal of Urology®. The most widely read and highly cited journal in the field, The Journal of Urology® brings solid coverage of the clinically relevant scientific content needed to stay at the forefront of the dynamic field of urology.

The ideal candidate must be an AUA Member, active in the practice of urology with broad knowledge of the specialty, possess publication experience and knowledge of current practices in the publishing industry. The Editor is a paid consultant to the AUA Board of Directors, its officers and staff, and specifically to the Executive Vice President of Marketing, Communications, Publications & Member Engagement, as well as the Director of Publications.

The individual selected will serve one year in training (non-compensated) from Jan 1, 2021 – Dec 31, 2021 prior to beginning a three-year compensated term as Editor from Jan 1, 2022 – Dec 31, 2024. This position is eligible to be extended for a second term through 2027.
