  • Value Based Modifier Incentives/Penalties

The VBM applies to providers who are part of a Tax ID and carries an automatic, additive penalty for non-participation in the PQRS program.

Practices of 1-10: 2% penalty if you do not participate; the VBM also carries up to a 2% incentive, based on a cost/quality ratio.

Practices of 10+: 4% penalty for non-participation; the VBM carries a -4 or +4% payment adjustment (penalty or bonus) based on a cost/quality ratio.

What Measures are Available?

Measures Group Reporting and Individual Measures Reporting are available. The AUA has created a list of 35 quality measures in the areas of urinary incontinence, prostate cancer, perioperative care, preventive care and more, that would be most valuable to members and Practice Managers' Network subscribers.

Two measures groups (Chronic Kidney Disease and Preventive Care) are also available.

What is the Cost?

The AUA PQRS Registry is available for $299/provider for AUA members and PMN subscribers. Please contact the AUA PQRS Support team directly at PQRS@AUAnet.org or 410-689-3925 for additional information. For technical questions such as login issues or instructions on how to use the registry, please email aua.pqrs@bot.figmd.com.

Registry participants must read and acknowledge the Data Release Consent Form before reporting. Participants must also return a signed and dated copy of the Data Release Consent Form which will be sent by the AUA within one business day. AUA and its authorized subcontractor will not submit any PQRS reporting data to CMS until the AUA PQRS registry user has returned a signed consent form. Please keep this in mind as the CMS deadline approaches.
