AUA2025 – History Exhibit

Education in what we now call the field of urology has its roots in ancient times and was developed throughout history by the essential processes that define the depth and breadth of our specialty. The original vision of AUA's first President, Ramon Guiteras, has been transformed by innovation in teaching and standardization of education, as well as technological advances in endoscopy, microsurgery, robotics, and artificial intelligence. No matter what lies in the future of medicine, the AUA continues to lead the world in educating the next generation of urologic caregivers.
