Education in the Science & Technology Hall

Product Theaters

The Product Theater is the premiere venue for industry to hold non-CME programming regarding new products and services and the latest in data and research findings.

Skills Challenge

This opportunity will help drive traffic to your booth with an entertaining, dynamic “Top Gun” surgical skills challenge! Sponsor companies will develop a surgical task to be performed in their booths that can be timed or scored; attendees will be directed via the promotional plan to visit each of the sponsor exhibit booths to complete the challenge task. The AUA will provide a leaderboard to show the best ranking competitors for each sponsor and give prizes to the highest scorers of each challenge.

Skills Enhancement Workshops

Reach your targeted audience with industry-supported education. The AUA offers "Skills Enhancement Workshops" that provide attendees with hands-on education in the Science & Technology Hall. Each supporting company will own one day (increment) of programming on topics of your choice. For each supporting company, the AUA will provide a 30’ x 40’ workshop in a Skills Workshop area of the Science & Technology Hall. Each constructed workshop will feature highly visible program signage and incorporate AUA show branding.

Device Tech Talks

Device Tech Talk stage is the premiere location to showcase your products to attendees in the Science & Technology Hall. Sponsoring companies will have the stage for 20 minutes to promote their product and an additional 5 minutes for audience Q&A. Talks will run daily 10 am - noon and 1 - 3 pm for a total of 24 available timeslots. Companies are limited to two timeslots per day.

Networking Opportunities

Attendees like to relax and recharge, so AUA invites them to spend that time on the Science & Technology Hall, enjoying refreshments while exploring and having conversations with our Exhibitors. We encourage Exhibitors to supplement AUA provided food and beverage with their own offerings in their booths, to create a place for attendees to gather and network with you. We offer the following events:

Saturday Afternoon Networking Event

Saturday, May 4 from 4-6 p.m.

In 2024, we invite our Annual Meeting attendees and exhibitors to join us in the Science & Technology Hall on Saturday to meet, mingle and sample the vibrant cuisine of San Antonio!

This year, the AUA will hold a networking event in the Science & Technology Hall on Saturday, May 4. The caterer, The RK Culinary Group, will offer a special menu for this event to experience the world-renowned flavors of San Antonio.

The AUA will provide food stations and refreshments throughout the Science & Technology Hall; exhibitors are encouraged to join the festivities by providing food and drinks at their booths.

More information regarding the networking event will be available in February 2024.

Networking Hours

AUA also offers afternoon “Networking Hours” on the show floor – AUA provides refreshments to provide a place for attendees to enjoy an afternoon snack on the Science & Technology Hall. These are currently scheduled for:

Friday, May 3 from 2-4 p.m.

Sunday, May 5 from 2-4 p.m.

AUA2024 will take place in San Antonio, Texas. We are delighted to return to this charming, historic city for the first time since 2005.San Antonio is a walkable city, famous for its Tex-Mex food, its River Walk and Market Square, and the San Antonio Missions National Historical Park (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).
