The AUA recognizes the tremendous value of non-clinical business and leadership training for all urology professionals — throughout all stages of their career. Specific research performed by the AUA clearly demonstrates a gap between what is perceived to be important to AUA members and the current program offerings of the AUA specific to the business of urology. As a result of this identified educational need, AUA is pleased to introduce an all new, full-day, interactive course titled, The Economics of Healthcare: Understanding Physician Compensation!
Course Highlights:
- Receive a general introduction to the economics of clinical practice and various practice models (e.g. private group practice, academic and non-academic health system employment, and private equity funded).
- Review, in detail, the specifics of various compensation arrangements, bonuses, benefits and other aspects of total compensation.
- Explore the indirect aspects of compensation models, including topics such as funding and use of APPs in a practice, and expense structures.
- Participate in round-table discussions appropriate to practice setting (Academic, Health System Employed, Independent Group Practice), for a more personalized education experience!
*Available to all AUA2022 Platinum and Gold package registrants as an "add on" option for an additional fee. Register to attend this new course in the business and leadership training space today!
