Interactive Poster Sessions
This is a new, interactive session format that unlike our traditional poster sessions, does not require a slide presentation. Authors are expected to be present during the entire session.
First 30-minutes: Free discussion of posters
Next 60-minutes: Moderators discuss select posters
Last 30-minutes: Open Q&A
Presentation Requirements
- Printed poster to hang in the session room
- Poster pdf to display on the AUA2025 Mobile app and program website
Preparing Your Poster
Presenters are required to provide a pdf of their poster to display in the AUA2025 mobile app. The deadline to upload your poster pdf to the Conference Harvester is April 4. We cannot accommodate submissions or revisions after this deadline. The presenting author will be notified once the upload site opens.
A printed poster is required for interactive poster session presenters. You may use the printing service of your choice. The AUA partners with Mira Digital Publishing to offer special pricing on poster printing services, including the convenience of shipping your poster directly to the Convention Center. Presenting authors will receive an email in late February with pricing information.
A publication number will be generated for your abstract in late February. This number can be found by viewing your abstract on the AUA2025 Mobile app or program website, immediately preceding the title of your abstract. Please include the publication number and title on both the printed poster and poster pdf.
Presenters must hang their poster in the session room immediately prior to the session start time. Poster boards will be labeled in numerical order corresponding to the publication number assigned to your abstract. Posters left at the end of the session will be discarded.

Moderated Poster Sessions
Moderated poster sessions allow the author to explain and illustrate their concepts, techniques, or research findings more visually than a podium address. Authors are expected to be present during the entire session.
During the first 30 minutes, presenters stand by their posters while moderators and attendees rove around the room. Each presenter will then have 3 minutes total for the PowerPoint presentation and audience discussion.
Presenters have the option to bring a printed poster. If the presenter opts out of bringing a printed poster, the poster pdf will be accessible during the session via QR code and available on the AUA2025 mobile app and program website.
Presentation Requirements
- Printed poster to hang in the session room (optional)
- Poster pdf to display on the AUA2025 Mobile app and program website
- PowerPoint presentation (maximum of two slides):
- Slide 1: Abstract data – this slide is typically a replica of the abstract poster or the most important information from the abstract/poster the presenter plans to highlight)
- Slide 2: Research summary – this slide is meant to highlight any of the research/methods used in obtaining the data for the abstract)
- A cover slide with the abstract title is permitted and will not count towards the 2-slide maximum. Given the brief time allotment for the presentation, disclosure slide(s) are not needed.
Presenters must hang their poster in the session room immediately prior to the session start time. Poster boards will be labeled in numerical order corresponding to the publication number assigned to your abstract. Posters left at the end of the session will be discarded.
Preparing Your Presentation
The AUA provides slide templates and other speaker resources. While the AUA encourages you to use the slide template, as the consistency in background style makes the viewing of multiple abstracts within a session easier on the audience's eyes, you are not required to use the template if you prefer to use your own.
The presenting author will be notified once the presentation upload site opens.

Abstract Policies
In addition to the policies outlined below, please review our speaker and faculty guidelines and embargo policy.
Registration
The presenting authors of accepted abstracts must attend the 2025 Annual Meeting in person in Las Vegas. The presenting author is required to respond to the invitation to present by February 18. Upon acceptance of the invitation, the presenting author must register to attend AUA2025. Failure to register by February 18, will forfeit the opportunity to present onsite and the abstract will be withdrawn from publication in The Journal of Urology®. The presenting author can be changed until February 18, but the new presenter must be registered to attend. After this deadline, if a presenting author is unable to attend, the abstract will be withdrawn. Please email speakers@AUAnet.org with presenting author changes.
Communications
During submission, AUA staff are authorized to communicate only with the presenting or corresponding author. Notifications of whether an abstract has been accepted will be sent to the presenting author. After acceptance, AUA staff will communicate only with the presenting author regarding any abstract-related matters, including requests for withdrawal, which must be submitted in writing. Any queries or requests from co-authors or non-authors, including pharmaceutical companies or medical communications companies, must go through the presenting author. Any attempts to contact AUA directly by such individuals will not be responded to.
To ensure that you receive email notifications from AUA regarding your abstract, please add AUA@mirasmart.com and speakers@AUAnet.org to your safe senders list.
Eligibility
Prior to the AUA Annual Meeting, the contents and conclusions of the abstract must not have been presented at or published in conjunction with any scientific, medical, or educational meeting with the following exceptions:

The program schedule is final upon release and changes cannot be made to accommodate travel schedules or overlapping presentations. If you are unable to attend, please ask a coauthor (listed on the abstract) to present the abstract in your place. If none of the listed authors can present, the abstract will need to be withdrawn from the program.
An individual may not serve as the presenting author on more than 5 abstracts accepted for presentation at the Annual Meeting.

The AUA COI Review Work Group will decide which relationships are relevant and require mitigation.
Presenters are not permitted to have financial relationships with ineligible companies (formerly commercial interests) that the ACCME would deem to be that of an owner or employee. Owners are defined as individuals who have an ownership interest in a company, except for stockholders of publicly traded companies, or holders of shares through a pension or mutual fund. Employees are defined as individuals hired to work for another person or business (the employer) for compensation and who are subject to the employer's direction as to the details of how to perform the job.
