Board of Directors

The Officers and Section Representatives of the Board of Directors (BOD) of the AUA serve as the governing board of American Urological Association, Inc., and American Urological Association Education and Research, Inc. Urology Care Foundation, Inc. is the officiation foundation of the AUA and is managed by a separate board comprised of urologists and public (non-urologist) members.

The 13 voting members of the BOD include the President, President-elect, Immediate Past President, Secretary, Treasurer and one elected representative from each of the AUA's eight chartered Sections. If the regularly-elected Section representative to the Board of Directors is absent, their place is filled by the elected alternate, or by a designee of the Section. The Historian, Secretary-elect and Treasurer-elect are non-voting members.
