MIPS webinar presented by Kellin Lawler, FIGmd Senior Client Account Manager. Kellin provides an overview of the 2022 MIPS submission criteria and dives into each MIPS category requirements through the AQUA MIPS module. In addition, Kellin provides a quick walk-through on how to upload the TIN CMS 1500 Form and the signing of the Data Release Consent Form (DRCF), which are tasks required to be completed before the 2022 MIPS submission.

AQUA Registry 2022 MIPS Checklist

In order to prepare for 2022 MIPS submission, practices must complete the following steps through the AQUA Registry’s dashboard:

  • Enter your Tax Identification Number (TIN)
  • Upload the supporting Health Insurance Claim Form (CMS 1500)
  • Sign the Data Release Consent Form (DRCF)
  • Review your MIPS module and decide on the categories to report for:
    • Quality
      • Select at least six measures with acceptable performance scores.
      • Of these six measures, one must be an outcome measure.
      • If an outcome measure is not available, then a high-priority measure can be used in its place.
    • Promoting Interoperability
      • A score calculator where eligible providers can input numerator/ denominator data.
      • An attestation module where providers are able to attest to the required objectives and their measures.
      • The ability to earn 5 bonus points, under the Public Health and Clinical Data Exchange Objective, by attesting “Yes” to the Clinical Data Registry reporting measure.
    • Improvement Activities
      • An attestation module which allows providers the ability to attest to a series of weighted activities, geared towards improving clinical practice and care delivery.
      • The ability to select from any one of CMS’ 100+ improvement activity measures.
      • The ability to attest to certain high-weight activities, only available to providers participating with a QCDR.
  • Complete your 2022 MIPS submission by March 15, 2023
