Eligibility and Requirements
Eligible applicants for International Membership must:
- be a urologist (Doctor of Medicine degree or equivalent) actively practicing outside the United States, Canada, Mexico or Central America
- be a member of their national urological society
- submit a $50 application fee
Eligible applicants for International Resident-in-Training Membership must:
- be a resident enrolled in an accredited urology residency training program outside of the U.S., Canada, Mexico or Central America.
- submit a letter signed by your residency program director on letterhead confirming you are a resident in good standing and your expected graduation date (typed or printed clearly in English).
*Non-US Members within Domestic Section Boundaries: There are several countries outside of the United States that fall within AUA domestic Section boundaries. These countries include Belize, Canada, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guam, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands. Members in these countries are considered domestic members and fall into the Active/Associate or Resident/Fellow categories— however, dues for these members are also stratified according to the World Bank classification of country.
